The wall
Building it yourself does not fail on day one. Single-trigger, single-action automations work fine. It fails when the second system enters the picture, and practitioner accounts put that wall at roughly week six to eight.

Free tools do not make building free. The hours come out of the work you would otherwise be billing, and that is true whichever way you go.
The end state
Your team keeps the workflows, the documentation and the access. No lock-in of any kind. The measure of this working is that you need us less over time, not more.

Reliable internal tools need the right environment before the first workflow runs. Setting up that environment — the parts, the connections, the structure that holds the build — is part of what we teach, not a prerequisite you clear on your own.
